Go Your Own Way - Let's talk about the others!

I recently wrote an article entitled "Integrating the Western media stages stain China Marathon" which was sent to a number of blogs and websites. Many comments were received generally favorable or positive part, while some players have voiced their criticism, especially regarding my comments on politics and issues in the U.S. or the influence of Western media.

Some readers felt discomfort Western criticism of a supposed "outside" (By the way, it bothers methis idea because I have a Chinese-American with 24 years experience studying, living and working in the West) but, in fact, a simulation exercise designed for them a taste of what is being criticized by outsiders. Hopefully this will help develop a certain ability to see things from different perspectives.

There are also comments that made me write a follow up article that criticized the Western media continue to promote more balanced and lessDiscuss the differences and emotional problems of China and the West.

My first article was inspired by an off-balance sheet total in the Western media coverage of the Beijing Olympics, and the intention was to attract the attention of people to consider this issue and urged Western media journalists and their doctrines preached by his objectivity and independence revived. better "was the hope of this article for the Olympic spirit of mutual understanding and promote tolerance, so that we can share"and peaceful "in" these days more and more difficult. "

The article did not intend to invite or intensify the arguments in the various views people have of the world around them, whether religious freedom in China or racial tensions in America.

I am motivated and qualified to provide thousands watching on a wide range of issues and challenges that the West and China. I am a normal person who generally likes to write in Chinese blog about family, friends, food, funand travel. I am or was a Christian, is increasingly attracted by the principles of Taoism and Buddhism. I am interested in learning more to offer here. So let me end this article of mine on the topic of Western media reporting on China.

The party is over

2008 Beijing Olympics is over and the central scene of the closing ceremony was a big party since, volunteers, officials and athletes from 204 countries. Can notbe as spectacular as the opening ceremony, but the idea of harmony and friendship successful.

Although I expected the London presentation focuses more on the old English traditions, has a double-decker bus and umbrellas give us a truly unique and London - which I knew very well. We wish you all the best in London with a stress-free Olympics in 2012. Among other things, it was not my intention to encourage anyone to protest in London in 2012, andThe Chinese will be asked to show the world not to vindicate the wisdom of moderation and generosity to protest any violation of law, providing partial or vandalism in the 2012 Olympics in London.

Time to clean house in China

To the Chinese, many of the big party after the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, is to be more anxious. 'S time to clean up the mess after the party in Beijing and began to focus on domestic affairs and social reforms and the future.

WhileWestern media coverage of China is often corrupted by selfish motives and tend to be constructive in many respects, there was a lot of problems or symptoms of foreign newspapers are areas where China needs to improve. Undoubtedly, the current challenges facing China's much larger and more complex than can understand the Western media, and this should be carried out sequentially at a rate that does not disturb the stability of the country, because the fruits of reformAs may be stored and transmitted.

I welcome the Chinese Government for the preparation of priority "stable" country first in all other objectives. It's also a great relief to see that the Chinese government to exercise its emphasis on "social harmony," "target man", "environmental protection" and "economic development of high quality."

Sure, there are still a lot of problems facing the country, economically, especially at local level and in the less developed areas. Therestructural deficiencies in the Chinese political system, the organization of government, legal and social hierarchy that must be reformed. Corruption remains rife, the environment is damaged and the fruit of 30 years of reform is not shared equally by all Chinese. On top of these, there are territorial issues, racial and religious who are deeply rooted in Chinese history.

How to deal with them from China? Must be resolved through direct confrontationbetween people, stakeholders and the government through protests, vandalism, movements, negative press coverage, or the pressure tactics of violence and unrest? If these do not work for confrontation, China must seek a regime change? Who will pay? The new rules, better or worse? If there is another cultural revolution, insurrection, or even more, an internal war?

The Chinese people have paid a heavy price for the theory of post-revolutionaryby Karl Marx, to achieve social transformation and to resolve conflicts with violence in the classroom? Enough!

"It was the fear of endless internal political instability and the Cultural Revolution, no matter if you start from the top down or bottom up, and I have spent many of my colleagues in China. If more unrest in the country, China is suffering the Chinese people suffer and not let us kid ourselves, everyonesuffer. Imagine the disruption of global supply chain and the international financial market, the destabilization of neighboring countries, the massive legal and illegal immigration, to name a few. So think again-Serves, the West still want to see turmoil in China?

Read selectively from the West and,

drawn regarding this issue, there are lessons in Chinese history. Faced with the threat of colonization by Western powers in the 19th century, LiZhang Hong, a prime minister and a leading reformer of the Qing Dynasty was defeated, "take what is strong (west) to make, and take our weakness, and that adapts well to follow" (O | K
