Ireland - a small country with a big impact

common bond that unites President Ronald Reagan, English Poet Laureate Cecil Day-Lewis, the founder of Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet, Dame Ninette de Valois, the movie star John Wayne and tennis star John McEnroe?

The answer is that they all have their roots in Ireland.

The Irish writer George Bernard Shaw put it cruel - but "while the men of Ireland has made good sense to leave it, she is not in vain .."

Immigrants in general tend to be thosething with this particular dynamic. And it is certainly true birth of the Irish people or - more precisely - the people of Irish descent, had a disproportionate influence in many areas, including writing and art.

The policy is a prohibited ground of Irish descent and the list of U.S. presidents have included a high percentage of people who can trace their Ancestory the Emerald Isle.

The best known of them, of course, President John F. Kennedy ancestors come fromWaterford. President Ronald Reagan had the opportunity to go on a trip to Europe at its headquarters in County Tipperary. Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney is another senior politician who is proud of his Irish roots.

The White House has been designed by Irish architect James Hoban.

The Irish love of words, as has been well established by President Kennedy and the great communicator, President Reagan, many writers. The most important of theseis, of course, George Bernard Shaw and James Joyce. Both famous author spent most of his life outside of Ireland. Indeed, such was the circulation of artists and writers from Ireland, who tried to contain the oil that the Irish Government has introduced a special tax-free for writers and artists.

But the biggest obstacle in Ireland has been included moral and religious constraints, rather than the tax system. Therefore, more recent writers as novelist EdnaO'Brien, in voluntary exile, far from Ireland, but never stop thinking about Ireland.
